How long does it take to get mortgage approval?

It normally takes approx. 10 days for approval to be confirmed. However your mortgage adviser can give you a good idea on your initial phone call.

Once your application is submitted we will have a better idea of how long the formal approval will take. Different mortgage lenders have different timelines for initial mortgage approval ranging from 5 to 20 working days. So it will depend on the mortgage lender we apply to.

When sale agreed on a property then a mortgage valuation will be arranged before a Formal Loan approval letter will bs issued. Then your mortgage adviser will help you with insurance options and your solicitor will look after legal side of things and arrange a closing date for you to get the keys to your new home.
